A journey into the heart of a domestic situation. I really enjoyed how the performer demonstrated how one perceives themselves versus how one presents themselves to the outside world. compelling

This show was hilarious! Marion’s stories about growing up in Catholic France in an atheist family, finding her own version of spirituality, and battling modern app technology is funny from beginning to end. And what a performer! So energetic, expressive, riveting, funny! Her stage presence is amazing. (And I love the accent!) I’ve seen excerpts of the show before in development and can happily watch it over and over again! Each time reveals a new nuance and never fails to delight.

I really enjoyed Marion’s performance! The first part about her childhood and her discoveries about religion from her friends and parents was hilarious.

The latter part about Siri making her drive on the highway was extremely amusing and timely with all of the concerns about AI currently.

I really appreciate the opportunity to see high quality live shows at reasonable prices. Thank you for providing such a great opportunity for the community!

Marion’s delightful, charming, and humorous perspective of growing up in a non-religious family in a Catholic village outside Paris, where she also attended a Catholic school, and survived, before landing in the US where she encountered a different set of challenges, and survived with her sense of humor intact!

Marion is an engaging actress and a gifted storyteller, and it is always a pleasure to watch her perform. What sets this performance apart though, is the way the story transcends the temporal, cultural and spiritual details of an autobiographical work to connect directly with the common lived experiences of a diverse audience.

The piece is carried by Marion’s light and unerring sense of humor, often infused with the interesting perspective of an outsider. As the story moves to consider more contemporary circumstances, I realized that it wasn’t the humor alone that kept my attention, but the insightful observations and commentary Marion has built into the performance.

Bravo !

This is a witty, highly entertaining journey through the mind of a child who dared to ask the Big Questions … only to have adults respond with tales of alien visitation, eternal damnation, and everything in between! Marion Lovinger imbues her lively monologue with charisma, charm, and an irrepressible joie-de-vivre. Recommended!

What’s the biggest secret you’ve been unable to keep? Sshh. I’ve been sharing Marion’s ever since I saw Who’s That? Duh, it’s God.

I forgot that a woman in her 60’s walked onstage as soon as Marion transformed into a little girl. I was completely captivated and never once fell out of her world.

Charming, hilarious, innocent, infectious, annoying and jaded characters all had moments onstage.

Marion is still as curious and full of questions in her 60’s as she was at 6. Bravo Marion, your sense of wonder is contagious!

Marion Lovinger delivers a performance with an engaging range of appropriate facial expressions depicting colorful descriptions of her early religious confusion and family secret revelations.

Just what the doctor ordered! I have been in a vortex of distress about the daily shocks delivered by our govenment, and also weathering some private woes. Marion’s show smashed through my bad mood — she made my boyfriend and I laugh and laugh, and floored us with her precise invocation of some of the absurdities life offers up. The whole room seemed mermerized by the intensity of the performance and the just-right dramatic timing and control.

I believe there are only two performances of this show left. Don’t miss Marion Lovinger’s solo at the Fringe!

Marion’s performance is unbelievable—thought provoking and very funny. She moves seamlessly through various periods of her life from birth to childhood to adolescence, trying to reconcile her family’s shunning of religion with the prevailing Catholicism around her. Finally she touches the vulnerability in us with her adult search for spirituality & meaning. But what is really masterful is the way she segues into her frustrations with our AI driven world. (Her squabbles with Siri and GPS technology are hilarious!) She uses spontaneous & very funny facial expressions that keep you riveted to your seat.
Marion is an amazing talent whose range from light humor to deep questions of our humanity resonate. A must-see at the Fringe! I highly recommend it for everyone.

I absolutely loved following Marion’s journey from her birth all the way through her bickering with Siri on the freeway. A beautifully woven tale blending comedy and curiosity, exploring themes of religion, humanity, and our interaction with machines. I absolutely love the show, and I think she’s a wonderful actress with a great accent. As a fellow Bay Area native, the local references helped it resonate with me. I totally recommend this play to anyone.

Marion zooms in on her family’s eschewal of religion, and zooms out to a dialogue of the technological predicaments of our times. She adroitly threads humor into the 2 spheres. I thoroughly enjoyed her show, and found myself laughing out several times. Definitely recommend.

I highly recommend seeing “Who’s that? Duh, it’s God”. Marion is a wonderfully expressive performer, and this story of her birth, her early relationship with religion, and her more recent relationship with the technology taking control of our lives is filled with humor and insight. Do yourself a favor and go see it!

I recently saw Marion Lovinger’s one-woman show “Who’s That…?” And I highly recommend it. Starting with stories from her childhood – and even her birth – and into adulthood that reveal her complicated relationship with organized religion, Marion then links those stories to our current experiences with modern technology and AI. She combines lots of humor with real depth, and raises interesting questions about who is really in charge here.
