Hilarity ensues as the population of the planet rapidly diminishes. I applaud the brave workers who show up ready to face the dangerous uncertainty that awaits them.

A dinner AND a show? In this apocalypse?! I got to be the pick for a major audience interaction so I may be biased, but Gherkin is funny, charming, and hits a very sensitive nerve that many artists may really be feeling right now. Performing to “dead” audience members, losing cast members to the “apocalypse” of what I interpreted as live (human) art, and doing your best to give your audience the best time in spite of the astronomical challenges that artists face today.

Absurdity with a clear and simple delivery, which makes for quite a delightful contrast.

Pure Fringe experience. Dover reminds us how fragile life and our own ordinance personal world is. The play exhibits how we try to cling to our past given tragic events.

Grief, humor, terror and love are all onstage in Abraham Dover’s totally unique and delightful “Due To An Unforeseen Apocalypse.” Dover is a performer of tremendous generosity and skill, and the devices he uses to integrate the audience into his world are surprising and wonderful. A very unusual and emotionally resonant blend of humor and melancholy, highly recommended.

“Due to an Unforeseen Apocalypse” is equal parts hilarious and bittersweet. In turbulent times outside the theater, Gherkin reminds us of the importance of humor, connection, and love in weathering the worst. Decidedly a must-see.

Heartfelt, tender and funny! Gherkin Picklewater’s one-man post-apocalyptic show creates a surprisingly warm ambience out of a very bleak premise. Drawing the audience into his world of melancholy and whimsy, Gherkin elicits both laughter and tears as he bares body and soul, creates community and ponders the inevitable.

“I could not have spent a better ‘last night on earth!” Absurdity and humor made this a great evening to experience Local talents.”

Every work of art should remind us that we’re probably already dead. In Unforeseen Apocalypse, Abraham beautifully invites us to make play with our own fragility through his imaginative vulnerability, prestidigitation, and showmanship. I like how it made me feel human among other humans. I’d go see it again.

A lovely show that plays on what we’re all worried about happening with the impending apocalypse. I loved the play with the audience members
