Just because the idea of staying inside with the AC and a tall glass of iced tea seems a bit absurd as the fog rolls in doesn't mean it's not summer in the Bay Area. Celebrate the season with a night of summertime theater from five local playwrights, along with works by Christopher Durang and Wendy Wasserstein. Isis Arts Collective presents eight shorts that span the days from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Highlights include "Sufficient Conclusions," Tim A. Taylor's intelligent drama about a father and son who communicate in a way all their own, and "Faded Photographs," Tom W. Kelly's play about two men who meet up on a gay cruise on the Fourth of July, 19 years after a love affair. Forget the beach, wrap yourself in your warmest scarf and head out for a evening of summertime entertainment -- sans the suntan lotion -- that's sure to keep your attention.
