It’s the end of the world, and two friends are playing a board game they think might change what’s about to happen. “End of the Trail” is a hysterical journey in which two friends explore themselves through embarrassing confessions, regrettable truths and witty accusations.
They take turns accusing and complaining with each step of the cowboy boot that marks their progress throughout the game. One is bisexual and the other is homosexual; the line between friendship, love and hate is constantly blurred.
In the final minutes of the game, the secret’s revealed: The game had nothing to do with an apocalypse and the digits on the game card were not the date of destruction, but a serial number. All of the characters’ efforts have gone to waste.
Or have they? With destruction looming, the friends said things they might never have otherwise, and in the process discovered that which really matters: What will be, will be.
