In Ken Slattery's new play, John (John McNally) is on the way back to his hometown in Ireland from San Francisco for a five-day visit. He has big news to share with this family and friends, and as he struggles with how update them on his life in California, he ponders the nagging question: What if I had never left home? John's brother Alan (Brendan Hickey) has a bombshell of his own, increasing the family drama that includes an ill-timed wedding, scenes at the local pub, and an ex-girlfriend (Amanda Prendergest) who decides to share her inner thoughts when least expected. This Restless Minds production has potential but is in much need of a good edit. (Mantzaris)
