Brookside Repertory Theatre presents "Tilting at Transformations," five oddball, offbeat and fun short plays, directed by Chela Noto. Two season subscribers might (gasp) leave at intermission. When a sexy Hebrew slave is seduced by his mistress, his master calls for the whip. A superhero becomes unglued when his vision starts to fail. Who ate the middles out of the Oreo cookies? The answer may, or may not, be found behind the closet door. An IRS auditor with a heart longs to couple up and join the ranks of an endangered species. Winner of 2003 S. F. Fringe "Best Collected shorts," Brookside Repertory continues to highlight diverse, and often perverse, new work by Bay Area talent. There are five short plays in the show: TILTING AT TRANSFORMATIONS Play No. 1: We Couldnt Do It Without Our Subscribers by Molly Rhodes Play No. 2: JOSEPH AND POTIPHORS WIFE by Mae Ziglin Meidav Play No. 3: Myopic Viscosity by Bill Bivins Play No. 4: Thats the Way the Cookie Crumbles by Patricia Milton Play No. 5: Nelson by Edna Coulson Hall Mae Ziglin Meidav, Ph.D. Edna Coulson Hall Chela Noto | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
